Project Description
Pyramid Eclipse marked a grand social experiment on Paiute Tribe land. As an underground transformational festival, It marked a new generation of festival goers at the intersection of spiritual consciousness and celebratory traditions in the making. The path of totality (where the sun is completely eclipsed) took place directly over Pyramid Lake Nevada May 20, 2012. It was the first solar eclipse in North America in over 20 years and the first event held at Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation since members of the Grateful Dead performed at Pyramid Lake in 1986. The resulting outcome simply remarkable.
